This software has given me new excitement for web development. My favorite part of this class, is being able to design my own layouts and make my projects look visually appealing. Now that we are using WordPress, we are able to apply our vision in a new way, while being able to understand how the software works thanks to our time using HTML.
Although I prefer building with WordPress, I have a great appreciation for HTML coding and still plan on practicing since I still struggle with it.
While working with WordPress, users have the ability to put most of their focus directly on the content. Before, while using HTML, a developer would have to spend a lot more time translating their vision onto the page through code.
One way to think about this comparison is, using HTML/CSS is like using individual Lego blocks to build a complex object like a car. Unlike HTML, WordPress is like using preassembled Lego shapes, like a pre-built car door, pre-built frame, pre-built top, and putting them together to create that same complex car.
