Modeling Basics

Edges
Each vertex that connects to another, represents that connection through what we call an edge. These edges can also be moved the same way you would move a vertex.
Moving Vertices
Each vertex can be moved through 3D space, along the X, Y, and Z axis. This is the simplest form of editing, and in theory, you could model any object one vertex at a time.
Vertices
A vertex is a single point in 3D space, that acts like the building blocks of a 3D model.

Faces
This cube is made up of four vertices. Four connecting vertices make up one face! Faces make up the so called, “skin” of each mesh object. You can use textures and materials to change how your model looks!
