Sculpting Basics

Brushes

Used to drag, inflate, indent, or add to the geometry of your object.

Remeshing

Remeshing is a sculpting function that rebuilds the geometry of a model, into a cleaner and more even mesh. When remeshing, you can increase the voxel size or decrease the voxel size. The lower your voxel size, the more vertices the program will use to rebuild the model. This allows you to add more detail to your sculpt.

Overview

While box/poly modeling is effective for creating hard-surface objects, organic shapes are often much easier to create through digital sculpting. Instead of precisely manipulating loops, faces, and vertices, sculpting uses a more artistic approach. With built-in brushes, you can shape thousands or even millions of vertices into your desired form.
